AGE GROUP SHIFT BEGINNING FALL 2026

Our club is committed to placing each player in the environment that best supports their long-term development. With the transition to school-year age groups, our approach to player placement remains rooted in thoughtful evaluation, individual growth, team creation, and competitive balance.

All players will initially try out within their school-year age group. This allows our staff to evaluate players alongside their natural peer group and establish a clear developmental baseline.

Following the first day of tryouts, our coaching staff will carefully review all evaluations. When appropriate, adjustments may be made—including movement within or across age groups and teams—to ensure each player is placed in the setting that best matches their technical ability, physical development, learning needs, and overall readiness.

Player placement decisions are made collaboratively by our technical staff and are guided by what will most effectively support each player’s development, confidence, and enjoyment of the game. While age group alignment provides structure, development always comes first.

Our goal is to create the best possible pathway for every player, ensuring they are both challenged and supported in an environment that allows them to grow as athletes and people.
